I Can Show You Ways To Manage Pain

Hypnosis Decreases Pain

I am certified in Pain Control through the National Guild of Hypnotists and Pain Management and Hypnoanesthesia as a Certified Medical Hypnotist through the American Board of Clinical and Medical Hypnotherapy. There have been many studies showing the effectiveness of using hypnosis and guided imagery - with significant, measurable results.

In one study of migraine patients treated with Hypnosis, the treated patients reduced the frequency and duration of their daily headaches, dropping their overall intensity by about 3.

The Journal of the National Cancer Institute published a study August 8, 2007 showing that Hypnosis reduces pain and costs in breast cancer surgery. Pain, nausea and other side effects are mitigated by pre-surgery sessions.

According to a 2004 study in Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, Hypnosis can actually change the way the brain processes pain signals, reducing the brain activity devoted to the feeling of distress even while the pain sensations continue to be received.

A note to physicians: please contact me if you are interested in receiving more information and abstracts on Hypnosis and Pain Management. As a complementary care provider, I work with clients for pain control with a physician’s referral. I have all the necessary paperwork. Hypnosis is excellent in helping you "turn down the pain”. It is safe, effective and non-addictive.

"Just a note to thank you for all you have done for me. The ability to handle my pain has helped me more than you know. You are such a blessing in my life and I just wanted you to know how much you helped."
    Lynn W.

"I frequently refer patients to Hypnotherapists because I have seen it produce excellent results in many illnesses..."
Andrew Weil M.D. clinical professor of medicine at the University of Arizona and director of its Program in Integrative Medicine.
